About Chris Webby: After building up a sizable base of “ninjas” (what the rapper calls his fans) with giveaway mixtapes stocked full of accessible party raps, Connecticut’s Chris Webby finally went aboveground with this debut 2001 EP, There Goes the Neighborhood. Rapping since he was in the 6th grade, Webby caught fire rapping at college keg parties, but after getting kicked out of school, he joined the mixtape game and began releasing a series of tapes that had fans comparing him to Machine Gun Kelly and Mac Miller. Six official mixtapes had already seen the light of day when the There Goes the Neighborhood EP landed in 2011 on the Homegrown Music label. Two years later, Homegrown became the name of his debut EP for his new label, eOne Entertainment. His debut album, Chemically Imbalanced, landed in 2014 with guest appearances from Tech N9ne, Talib Kweli, and Dizzy Wright. – David Jeffries, Rovi

About Spose: Coming out of Wells, ME, rapper Spose used humility and a sense of humor to separate himself from his suburban rap competition when he kicked off his career with the ironic “I’m Awesome.” Born Ryan Peters, Spose had been a fan of hip-hop since grade school. In 2005 he began to take his lyrics seriously, then in 2007 he released his own album, Preposterously Dank. Two years later he teamed with fellow Wells rapper Cam Groves for the We Smoked It All mixtape, then in January 2010 he released his single “I’m Awesome” to local radio. The humorous, self-deprecating track was an instant hit, and by the end of February Spose was signed to the Universal Republic label. – David Jeffries, Rovi

About Justina Valentine: the newest cast member on MTV Nick Cannon’s Wild N Out, is a clever, quick-witted lyricist with a knack for memorable hooks and irresistible choruses. Justina is a singer/ songwriter that presents an eclectic pop and soul infused sound.  Her original music has been featured on NBC’s Smash, VH1’s Mobwives, MTV’s True Life, Oxygen’s Running Russell Simmons,  A-List NY and the CW11. With a rapidly growing fan base, Justina released her classic EP, Valentine, in 2013. The body of work went on to chart iTunes in the Top 30, debuting at #38 on the iTunes R&B charts. Justina’s single “Candyland” featuring Fetty Wapplayed on national radio throughout 2016. Valentine’s debut mixtape Red Velvet and follow up album Scarlet Letter both charted on iTunes.

About Sarah Violette: Sarah Violette, formerly known as Lady Essence, is a veteran hip hop artist from Portland, Maine. In 2014, Sarah was the recipient of the New England Music Awards “Hip Hop Act of the Year” and her most most recent album (Produced by God.Damn.Chan) “UltraViolette” was released on July 4th, 2017 with great reception. About Shane Reis: Maine rapper Shane Reis is best known for his 2017 regional radio hit ”Wave” but – like most overnight successes – his big break didn’t come over night at all. Reis (pronounced ‘rise’) has been performing live since the age of 15. He’s since released three solo albums including his most recent album ‘Drive’ (out now on PDank Records) and is widely renowned as one of New England’s most respected emcee’s. National tours in 2016 and 2017 with Spose have helped spread Reis’s message of perseverance and hard work much further than his New England roots. – Ryan Peters
