I agree that the decisions were poor but so was the defending. The coaches would be better employed looking at the weaknesses in their defences rather than blaming the referee. In this section, I have refrained from preaching to you. Personally, I hope that you will opt for very high ethical standards. Without such standards your sport is likely to suffer.

Another form of mental abuse is not speaking to the athlete. Athletes performing badly are sometimes totally ignored by the coach. This can have a major effect on the athlete’s selfconfidence and self-esteem. I feel that this way of behaving is very childish.
