He concludes from this: "The fact that the structure of datability belongs essentially to what has been interpreted with the 'now', 'then' and 'on that former occasion', becomes the most elemental proof that what has thus been interpreted has originated in the temporality which interprets itself. When we say 'now', we always understand a 'now that so and so . . ' though we do not say all of this. Why? Because the 'now' interprets a making-present of entities. In the 'now that . . ' lies the ecstatical character of the Present.
Heidegger's designation of this basic structure of Dasein as 'transcendence' (Heidegger, 1992a, p. 62, 414ff) has also given cause to infer theological implications here.
